You might want to look at page 104 of the a850 manual.
"When attaching a DT lens, [APS-C size capt.] is automatically selected."
The same as page 107 of the a900 manual.

What the heck is "capt."? capture? It is not in the A900 manual (pg 157)

Looking closer, with more specification
Electronically downloading the Manual ... it is not, it is Page 157. Download it and see for yourself, under "Specifications".
The A850 manual differs by 2 to 3 pages less, but it's about the same.
A900 page 157

What you have circled is on page 157 of the a900 manual. If you look on page 154 of the a850 manual it it stats the same as 157 on the a900 manual. I have downloaded both.

It was YOU that brought up the A900 Manual.
Where are YOU getting pg 107 from? LOL ... a circular issue, unless one of us is incorrect. I do not believe it is me ...

The question is where did you come up with page 157? I was talking about page 104 in the a850 manual and 107 in the a900 manual. Then for some reason you bring in page 157. Unless you are saying that DT lenses cannot be used on the a900 also, then I would say that you are the one that's wrong.

Hey ... I have no idea whether or not the DTs are going to "auto crop" when placed on the A850. How can you be wrong when you do not know? SONY can hand me the camera and we can just try it out.
Anyway ... just for the benefit of everyone STILL reading this sillyness ... here's the "factual" Alpha 850 Manual pg 154 ... not 104.
A850 Page 154

This is the biggest part of the A850 I've seen. What do you have? I guess I am just curious as to WHY after writing a manual of this length and it looks so close (almost word for word, space for space. illustration for illustration) to the A900's ... WHY this part has been altered a bit?
