I keep saying the viewfinders are not big enough.
Sony obviosly know this but want to stiff you for yet another $35.
It probably costs more to package and distribute than it would to put it on camera in the first place.
still has an unfinished look. looks semi-naked to me. not sure why they couldn't design one that looks exactly like the existing one even if it protrudes a little more.
One of the problems is the eye-detection sensor of the camera body.
I know the angle viewer certainly has problems with that, when you lean it over 90-degrees. It dims down the settings display, thinking your face is on top of it.

Well, this may be a little off-subject, but it has to do with the "viewfinder."
I don't know if any of you are using the "Angle Viewer" (Used for 90-degree viewing for MACROs and stuff), but if you use a "diopter correction lens" in your viewfinder,
It has to be removed BEFORE you can use the "Angle Finder."
Also, there is no place to replace the "diopter correction lens" in the "Angle Finder" ... but it has a manual diopter barrel adjustment for FOCUS, so it does have diopter adjustment. That "diopter correction lens" insert is kind of small and easy to lose, during this kind of activity. Personally, I find it inconvenient ... and yes, I have lost one to this device. $15 ... poof!
Looks like that magnifier suffers from the same issue.
