Question What vacation location is your SONY DSLR going with you to?

You know you want to take your DSLR with you on vacation, this summer. So ... where are you going and just how much of your gear is tagging along?

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Mine went with me to Honolulu last week, with the Tamron Lens (only).
Week after next is the High School Reunion, in Little Rock, AR. Will probably pack everything to take family photo's. 16 hours in the car with 3 kids. Wish me luck.

We'll be doing day trips for summer vacation this year. I'm going to hit the beach one of these days for some sunrise pics. We will be going up to the mountains, to the NH seacoast and probably Cape Cod. I'll be packing all of the gear(I don't have much).

    Road Trip

Still in the planning stages, but a road trip to Kansas City via Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Nebraska. I'll probably hit the southern states on the way back.

Got about 20 courthouses to photograph on the way, plus a visit to a museum in Omaha that my Great Grandfather helped build. Haven't planned the return trip.

And, the whole thing might go out the window depending on my work load.

it's backpacking so will only take two lenses. 35-70 is in bag right now but considering getting a more versatile walk around before setting off

Five days in the Sierra Nevada coming up! I fear I must carry the Tamron 14/2.8 (ugh, 660g!); the other is still being debated, Sigma 17-70 or 18-200? As a 24-50mm film veteran, the 17-70 fits my old style of wilderness shooting.. but is it time to develop a new one? Hmmm..
