Problems, dust and more problems

First, a correction on my post for the second session. The last photo with the clouds was taken the following morning to guage where I was at.

I also took a closer look at the photos taken during the second session and noticed where one of the little buggers moved and left a gut trail. I also noticed that, kind of like scraping dead bugs of your car's windshield, there where lighter remnants of previously darker spots.

So, I waited a couple of more days until today and performed wet cleaning, session No. 3.

This time, looking at the prior problem spots, I used the spot technique of using the corner of the swabbing tool to rub the area of the pesky spots back and forth about 5-6 times ... using a clean pad with E2 solution for each problem area followed by a regular swabbing using yet another clean pad with solution.

Better, but not quite satisfied.
So I repeated. (again, clouds moved in on this shot)


I figure with weekly follow-up cleanings, I can hopefully work down to and keep the sensor at 0-5 tiny unnoticeable spots. That I can live with.

On the last photo of my last post, you will note that some of the spots are circled in red. Those are ones where the original dark spot is now just a slight shadowy remnant of its former self.

I figured that a couple more days to a week rest and another wet cleaning, those ones ought to disappear.

So, a little bit of trepidation at first, a bit more confidence with subsequent efforts, I give it a thumbs-up.

took over 200 pics yesterday...got home and started processing then..the first one had a big spot right in the middle...luckilly it went away by the 3rd pic...i didn't want to fix 200 pics.

That's what I'm talking about. Even if its 20 photos with a big ● where there should be none is a pain in the #$@!!!
