$2,379.95 is what Canoga Camera is asking for the D700 without a military discount.

Really? That's an awesome price. The $2430 I saw was through AAFES partnership with Ritz Camera.

I didn't see very good prices on the Ritz military site this week - I was pretty disappointed, even with the so-called 10% discount. Is this for the body only? If so, I would consider canceling it.

You can get better prices via B&H or even Amazon most of the time. Then have them send to you via APO Box if you are living overseas, like me.

B&H is selling a refurbished Nikon D700 for only $2039 w/90 day Nikon warranty. Personally I would by one of these before a new D700 even at today's prices. I'm thinking about replacing my D3 with one of these and pocketing the $1500+ price difference. I think the value of the D3 will drop a lot more over the next 6 months that a $2039 D700.
