    Another graduation

My daughter's high school graduation. A few photos of her and friends. No more kids in school, what am I going to do with myself now! Anyway been hectic here that is why I haven't been on for awhile, graduation here, my nephews graduation, my birthday, and working on clearing out my father in laws home since his passing. As always I know these aren't the best, inside with no flash high ISO and used the Tamron 70-200 2.8 becuase I wasn't sure where I would be able to sit.

It would be good if it were the lens Rooz, No I am sure the glass is fine, I think it is a combination of skill issues, grip/stability issues, more understanding of aperture and shutter speed with ISO. I need to be able to think it out and adjust for the conditions. To a lesser degree I wonder if my bi - focal contact lenses have any impact my right eye is my 'closer' vision? May try and shoot with glasses on and see how that goes. I also think that a lot of my shots I am to close for the lens, I have been reading about focal plane lately. I think I understand the technology and the function of the equipment it is the skill and talent that is really behind the learning curve.

I would definitely use AF-S and local focus, but using spot focus (center AF point) the majority of the time. These are the settings I use 99% of the time.

i'm not so sure sean. there is an element of point and shoot with these things. the subjects aren't moving quickly and i dont think the a700 is that bad in AF. i dont think you're too close either cos the MFD of the lens is very short. i'd personally put some time into testing it out properly.
