What kind of tree am I?

There is a "unique" tree growing in the park near my house. I've never seen anything like it around NH. It looks like it belongs in Florida or Hawaii. I have asked a few people around town and looked online but I'm not really sure what to Google for. If you know what kind of tree it is please, speak up.

Kinda odd. It does sorta look like a Magnolia. What I have always known as a magnolia has leaves that are almost leathery with a very waxy top. However I looked up magnolia and it is about 200 different species, so that could very well be a different magnolia than I am used to seeing here down south.

I think you got it. It looks like it is an Umbrella Magnolia (Magnolia tripetala). Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
