Yes ... that would do it for me
-
No ... they would still be too high
-
No ... I figure it differently (see thread posst for my details)
-
Cripes, they just went up roughly 15% ... some deal. No.

Lens prices aren't the hang up. I've got all the lenses I normally use. If I were to buy a new lens it would be to move up to a better quality lens. The item where price is a problem for me is with flashes. I don't see them being worth the prices being asked.

There is a new, cheaper flash being released. Maybe it could be a "small" solution.

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

A 30% drop might convince me to buy the Sony 100 mm f/2.8 Macro over the Tamron SP 180 mm f3.5 Di Macro LD-IF. But so far, I have been really happy with Tamron.

That is good.
But I think the best solution will be when Sony has a large enough share of the market that it's economical for third party manufacturers to offer items for the Sony line of DSLRs. To help this come about I realy think Sony needs to rethink their advertising.
