    Nice bunch. On most of them, I think it would have benefited the shot if you were able to get closer to reduce the depth of field.

    From your recent flower shots, you should get a macro next!

    yeah i would definitely benefit from a macro. i was using the G in all these shots!

    Well, that 50mm f/1.4 should get you in to about 12-15 inches. Those might be some cool shots, too.

    i was pretty close to most of these flowers at about 3~5 feet. most of the flowers were tiny!
    i was sitting on the ground and balancing the camera on my knees.

    50mm prime (minolta here) is not that great for macro work. Not enough magnification really.


    The Tamron 17-50mm can get pretty close
