What are you using for the black reflection?

I am borrowing a flash. This is the first time I used it. I am just trying to get used to using it. I am surprised that with the flash right behind the hanging Kiwi it did not mess up the exposure. It is my coffee table in the living room. LOL

    Thanks

thats a pretty good job frank. in fact, a very good job considering your inexperience with flash !

any kind of work like this needs to be tack sharp though. so id run it thru some sharpening. you should probably stop down your lens a fraction more aswell. maybe around f8 to get he most out of the Tammie. dof is a non issue in this so no need to use f5.

i was just thinking, it may be a good idea to squirt some water droplets onto the kiwi and on the table where the reflections are, to give that added "crisp, fresh" look to them. i thik it would work well in #2 or #3. and you may get some cool reflections or light effects off the droplets from the strobe.

What setting did you use on the flash? I forgot which setting preserves the blacks. Think it was rear or slow sync with a faster shutter speed? I think fill flash just blows out the black.

Frank you are really developing your skills! wish I could say the same LOL! I know go and take pictures! Frank I really like #3, and way to think creatively and use your coffee table. So you be ordering a 58 flash soon? Try Rooz's tip on the water droplets also.
