If you could see me SMILE. :)
I own a new Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 EX Macro HSM II and have been a little unhappy with it.
The focus is spot on, as the build is. The images just aren't what I expected.
I saw a deal and snatched it, I was able to get a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L for just a hundred dollars more than the Sigma new.
I've had the 85L and 135L, and I will again, but after being let down by the Sigma, knowing the focus will be spot on EVERY time with the Canon just makes me giddy. My wife was laughing at my excitement, saying it's just some white big ol' thing.

I'd rather see this lens being undressed rather than some other woman.

Anyone else feel so giddy for their first white lens?

The first time i used the 70-200 F4L IS I had rented one for a Ren. Festival and tried it around the house and it lookd quite sharp, but when I went to a real world event and snapped this:
ISO400, 127mm, F5, 1/800s
Capturing this shot made me completely giddy. And I knew instnatly I had to buy this lens. one month later I owned one.
Before this shot my only experience with L glass was my 24-70 F2.8 which sucks in comparison- the first copy I had back focused by about a solid foot and anything under F4 wasn't even usable- exchanged it and got one that didn't have a problem focusing- but anything under F4 wasn't useable F2.8 was like a haze... sent that one in to get it fixed and it came back much better but not perfect.
I still love my 70-200 F4 IS but i think i may be upgrading it to the F2.8 IS soon- but upgrading this lens is last on my list- macro, lighting, camera backpack and filters come first.
PS: When i captured this i was giggiling liek a little schoolgirl.
Oh yeah and congrats on the lens! Some girls just don't understand!

Oooh, she's a beauty--a damn expensive beauty.
I got mine for 850 shipped and pp'd, and it is in 9/10 condition; alas, no VR or IS.

Theres places for people like you.
I don't own any white lenses yet, was poking around the 70-200 F4L tried a few, never stuck on me. But that'll probably be my next lens, or a 50 1.4 or a 35.

Congrats; my 70-200 is one of my favorite lenses; mine's only the lowly f/4 though.

LOL, I don't need to see another woman, my wife is an honest 10.
I still prefer my wife undressing over this lens, mostly.
