That may be a good practice to try Frank, do any and all PP before applying the filter effect? I think some of the shots are really interesting, have to keep trying different subjects to see what works and what doesn't

i don't think NR before Lucis will make much difference. Lucis creates the noise....

I'm not sure I like either. The question is, has it turned an ordinary shot into something special.
I thought the pics of the guys sitting outside the store were more interesting.

This effect is only good on some images. I am not sure if I like it either. I was just trying it on different images.
