    How many megapixels will suffice for you?

    The new Sony W230 isn't a bad choice. However, if you can still find a W170, that will have an optical viewfinder. Nice for action photography and sunny days.

    Nothing in your price range is very good in low light. Even with all the fun features of the W230 you'll probably need to use the flash to capture people in low light.

    ok i didnt really understand what low light meant, i thought it meant like you are in a low light situation and still using the flash. But Yes I will always use a flash unless we are in direct sunlight. so disregard that please gona delete it from my post. And actually im now looking at the W290 due it its movie capture abilities at 720p does anyone think it will match the SD 880 IS performance.
