    my apologies elisha. don has a history of posting half truths, getting called on them and then squirming his way out of the original debates by changing the subject and defelcting the correct information. this was one time i wasnt going to just let it lie.

    Maybe I was in Aperture Priority then when I noticed this. I know you use flash more than me. I haven't played much with Auto ISO with flash, I normally stick it on 400 and leave it.

    In what circumstance then does the camera raise the ISO when using flash in M mode?

    no flash, just regular shooting. the only time i dont use auto iso is if i do use flash.

    'Rooz', I want to personally thank you for allowing the post to continue without the constant back and forth. I honest began to think we were playing tennis or something .. dragging this ISO question all around the court, when it has already been decided by people a lot higher up the "design food chain" than the rest of us. There's no half-truth about it ... as it factually is what it is, for all SONY DSLRs. Strange debate ... even in the light of day.

    Probably have better luck with the "INFO" button getting adopted, than this one.

    Hey we NEED assholes! people with out passion are just boring, and when it gets heated as long as it's civil I enjoy it as it is ANOTHER chance for me to learn something!
