and yes, if its not already obvious, i'm thinking about running 2 systems and going for the mkII. i've shot with it a few times now and i'm giving it another go for a few more shoots in the next couple of months. the reasons are just as obvious, i prefer to shoot with primes and there is no point to me for nikon to make the best bodies if they wont update their primes. pma has basically come and gone and there are no 24/35/85/135 updates to speak of so i need to reevaluate where i'm gonna be for a move to FX.
My 135L was my most used lens. I shot most of my portraits with it because the beautiful bokeh and reach allowed me to make the model/subject at ease.
I could also get great candid shots with it--especially at weddings.
I was able to use my Tamron 1.4x on the lens when needed to.
