I have the 24-70, but not the 35.

CW has any combination you could want as long as it ends in L.

I used to have the 24-70 and 35L.
If your question is how do they compare the simple answer is the 24-70 isn't F1.4.
2 more stops in low light is very useful.
At f2.8 the 35L is sharper, by F5.6 I couldn't tell them apart.

why did you sell them ?
i'm not interested in corner to corner sharpness. which one performs better dead centre.
which one has the faster AF, (if noticeable) ?
bokeh ?
thanks.

Sold 24-70, so damn heavy.
The 35L is a god imho. It really doesn't have versatility of 24-70 but it does what it does perfectly which is F1.4>F1.8 35mm shots.
The biggest complaint of it is that it's "boring."
Financial reasons made me drop 35L for a sigma 30 1.4 which works fine F2 or so up.
I sometimes regret it. Last Christmas was my last time using 35L and when used right just is perfect. Major difference with that and 30 1.4 is color (35L wins, quality as far as focus u need to find a good 30 1.4 copy and close focusing which the 35L you can practically put on top of something)
@ 1.8 from around 2 1/2 feet.

Sigma 30 1.4 @ 1.4 from about same distance

nah...he's just fed up of Nikon not giving him the lens he wants so he's decided to duct tape the Canon variants onto his D300 instead...
