    Ritz Camera Files for Bankruptcy

    Not so long after buying bankrupt Wolf Camera, Ritz files for Chapter 11.

    Canon and Nikon are owed a combined $40 million in trade debt. Ouch.

    I'm not a fan, but here in Raleigh Wolf is the only place to buy Sony gear. I think wolf may still be a little less sleazy than Ritz. I hope they stay around, they are good competition for the online sellers and local shops, and give me a place to go in and play with gear. Today I went in to compare the feel of a 40D and A700, no one else around here would have an A700 to look at.

    I really liked the xxD. I actually held a 50D and a 30D, but they are all about the same size/shape/weight.

    It's really becoming a tough choice. I guess I should post more about that in the other thread I already started, and not take this one off topic.

    You know, I should have figured this out today when I went and the 50D had a 4MB (not a typo) CF card in it. It was great to test out burst mode with RAW.
