    Some photos I've taken today...

I shot that engagement shoot that was rescheduled today... here is what I got.
I tried to work really quickly because she was really cold. I made a few mistakes because I was trying to work quickly but I think they turned out okay...

She is OOF in this shot but I like the shot... I should have spent more time checking settings here! damn it. I used a flash off camera shot through an umbrella here in this shot.

I think you like him, he seems alot more often in focus.

I've seen the oposite happen but hes more centered, takes more of the frame and more consisently lit and in focus, i think you got a crush.

Jokes aside, the photos are great. I'd consider warming them up just a tad, especially considering they are portraits, but thats just me i always gravitate towards the warmer side of things.

Thanks, yeah they are repetitive. While I was shooting I had Adam's words in my head "they're gonna like the ones they look best in" or something along the lines of that. Looking back I wish I could have played around a bit more with her hood, I like the fur and wish I would have thought to use that a little more.... and obviously I need to come up with some new/different poses....

I totally agree with Drama....so next time take your wife with you as your assistant (or anyone else ready to help out with some sense of photography)...I've had a friend help me the other day and she was great at pointing out different angles....made a big difference to the shots I got in the end...

I like the B&W also but I don't know why there seems to be an HDRish feel to it...

Thanks Faisal. I was planning to have an assistant or two there but my sister inlaw was having a birthday dinner and my assistants were there instead.

On the B&W I did a little exposure adjustment but it's not an HDR.

the experience is the main thing nick. next time you'll know what to expect. personally, i think engagements are the hardest...and i really seem to just go blank sometimes. whenever that happens, i'm always like "ok let's do some ring shots"

Ring shots, yeah I got a few of those. lol

Thinking back I really should have just ignored her being cold. I think I rushed a little too much because of it. I had a few locations planned and really just wanted pictures I know would work and didn't want to experiment too much with poses/composition. The funny part was I was starting to sweat a little because I was dressed warmly and I was moving around a lot and walking really fast. It was only -2 or -3 C, that's like 26F.

I've got a few other poses/locations I'll post up soon but I'm not really at the point where I have a long list of poses I can rattle through quickly when needed. Like you said, it's great experience. Feeling a little rushed is just an excuse really. I can do better.
