Well ... sounds like a heck of an improvement over the A300 ...

I'm pretty sure we will see a replacement for the a700, and those sound like good specs. I just hope the three new dt lenses aren't the three mentioned in that dyxum thread we were looking at earlier. It would be disappointing to just see two rebadged tamrons and some funky APS 50mm. Bring on a better kit lens.

looks reasonabley interesting. this will have movie mode for sure. i wonder if this also signals the d400 sensor.

I remember seeing some rumored specs on a d400 a little while back and I think they used those also to justify some specs for a possible A800 lol.

I'm really not sure why they would want to introduce 3 new DT lenses.

I guess with the 10-24mm, it makes sense. But I can't see any other reason. They should be pushing the FF coverage.

I forgot to mention earlier that I agree, basically the only thing I care about is the capabilities of the A700 plus some better high ISO capabilities.

Talking Go towards the light ... back-light, that is

If it is a "backlit" sensor, this could easily solve "the noise issue" and put SONY way ahead of the other two manufacturers, making almost all their cameras obsolete, in just a few months, once the results are available.

Here, take a look, folks ...

    The new Photo diode ...

compare the old with the new ...

In-the-body Anti-Shake, low noise & HIGH ISO! Give me a break! No ... GIVE ME A SONY α800! Hey, wait! Make that two! I'm pitching the α700! Obsolete!

    LIGHT MAKES RIGHT! LOL

Find out why ... and read this!

Tell 'Rooz' to get out of my way, to the "early-buy" line! He's been lookin' for an excuse to jump off the Nikon ship. Geronimo!

what will be interesting after this cycle of models where all the DX cams go to around 15mp, is what next for DX ? the MP race is run, cant squeeze anymore onto that sensor without significant comprimises. some exciting features lay ahead. better sensors with more DR, more innovation and better movie mode.

Hmmmmmmm, high ISO, get that noise smoothed out, a few more MP's 23 focus points, AF with tracking etc. sounds like the ticket for sports shooting for me! But my a700 is to young and pretty to be a back up! what to do, what to do?

trade up? lol, probably not worth it. we really don't know anything yet anyway. this is just a rumor.

I was kinda hoping for a budget FF, but as I said, just a rumor and one camera. They might release a couple, who knows..... it's anyone's guess.
