My wife would like to have me take some pictures of my daughter’s numerous arts & craft projects. Any suggestions for a homemade light box or other ideas? Its mostly flat paper so I might have to use a bulletin board or something to hang them. Most of the lights I have around the house are halogen or florescent but I do have at least one incandescent desk lamp I could use. Should I avoid using a flash?

hmmmmm. for things like this I usually resort to my (external) flash, but I think in some natural daylight lighting you should be able render some nice shots. Use a tripod, keep everything stable, use nice soft even lighting (important), and experiment with everything!
