file too big to copy from SD800 IS to my Computer hard drive

i have a 500mb video i took on my SD800 IS. I tried to copy it from the camera to my computer hard drive, but it keeps failing because of the size of the video. any idea of how i can transfer it from the camera memory card to my hard drive?? thanks!

ps- when i try to copy the file to my hard drive, it looks like it is working, but when it's 'done' the file on my hard drive has 0kb.
