Matt if you don't want anybody editing your images just add it to your sig. Sorry if I offended your work. I never said anything negative about it. I am always up to comments or edits. I have learned alot from people messing with my images. I try to copy what they did so I can learn. It is all part of the learning curve. If somebody tells me how to correct a shot by going back and taking it again I will do so just to try to make my shots better. Don drew me a complete sketch on how to pull off a Pano and I went back and shot it and with his help we pulled it off. It is all about learning that is if you are here to learn.

Shot and counter-shot. I second the "shooting off your mouth and no show."

Give it a go, hot rod. We could use a little excitement around here. Impress the "unwashed."

(We're under a foot of snow ... you are in the middle of summer ... nothing to shoot? )

I'm not offended by you guys changing them up, I just thought what you did made very little sense to me but I understand now. I was looking for ideas on what to change but editing them yourself and showing me also works.

I did post process these in PSCS2, but I usually only do the auto tone and then adjust according to what I feel looks good. I don't like to get too extreme with my post-processing.

It is hard to explain sometimes. If you see something you like you can try to copy it. I takes time to get to know how to compose a shot and what looks good or not. When I go back and look at the pictures I used to take with film that I thought were great and was told they were great I cannot believe haw bad they are. I would never post here unless I wanted to show how bad they were. Keep shooting and listen to advise given it will help.

no amount of editing an make up for poor composition. dont take that the wrong way, as i have recently been learning with my shithouse landscapes, this is a learning curve when trying new things. thats nothing to be afraid of or embarressed about.

imo the main issue with these pics is that you are taking a pic of a black bike against a black sky so to try and make that standout is going to very difficult indeed. there is little seperation between bike and background. the compositon is fairly unimaginative and in some cases you have poles sticking out behind the bike which is distracting.

the qualtiy of the shot itself isnt great either. i dont know if thats the iso being too high, shutte speed too low or your editing, but they look soft, have really bad contrast and a funky kinda hue to the colours.

far be it from me to try and out-PP you Don. my PP skills are limited at best. i believe in the less is more approach to be honest.

nothing to shoot ? i shoot most days Don and post more actual photos, (not of dragon claws), in a week than you do in a year ! perhaps you should check out what i do shoot sometime...oh and i dont post them in the Sony pic of the day forum for obvious reasons ! well...not YET anyway....but never say never...

So then Rooz you agree with us trying to make the bike stand out. There wasn't much else we could have done. I am not saying they looked good. It was a way to try to save an image that didn't have much going for it.
