Atlantic City Skyline

That f/32 shot obliterated the skyline. I might attribute that to diffraction through the tight aperture ... also a longer shutter may have helped a skosh!
Thanks for the shot attempts, Frank. Gives me a lot to consider. In the meantime, f/8 your way to happiness.

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

I thought their might be a chance to improve the contrast on the skyline, but that just doesn't happen as you can see. At f/32 ... you actually LOST detail. Diffraction is a weird effect ... and that effect is easily seen in these images.
Thanks for the effort, Frank ... you may get different results as the weather improves and the direct sun shines. Until then ... no point in darkening things any more than you have to.
