    Question Image development

I've been kicking around an idea for a type of photograph I'd like to create ... but was curious if anyone might have tried it. The idea goes something like this:

Camera on a very short tripod or sitting on a pad, on the ice. Imagine a "kid" hockey player ... coming in directly at the camera ... a spray of ice from his skates as he skids forward, slammin' on the brakes, so to speak ... the blade of his hockey stick barely visible through the shower ... the ice showering the observer (the camera) with spray as the image gets taken (might want to shoot through "Saran Wrap" to protect your jewel). Obviously, you want the hockey player to be fully recognizable as a 'sports portrait shot'.

Now, if you have gotten that image ... add the hockey puck Photoshop'd into the image (no sense losing a camera and lens to something like this).

Any hockey lovers out there ... game for a shot like this?

I may just try this, myself.

Make it a self portrait. LOL It don't sound easy. There is no ice to skate on around here yet. I don't think I want to lay on the ice for that shot. Do you have anything easier we could try.

Lightbulb Kind of like this ...

Well, I was thinking this could be a good shot for a hockey team thing ... once you had the basic part of the shot done ... you could even fudge (PS) the kid's face in there. We've got some ice here, that's for sure. The snow ... well ... it got "rained out" this season. LOL

For instance ... this aspect for the spray ...

only taking it up a notch, so you can see the lil' tyke in the skates, too.

Add a big old hockey stick ...

You like hockey Don? It is my favorite sport. I use to play roller hockey every day when I was younger and lived in Brooklyn. (before they had rollerblades) I like the Rangers. You could have guessed that.

    Thumbs up Hackin' up Hockey!

Well, the "Winter Classic" was held at Wrigley Field, today. The 'Hawks took it on the chin. The Red Wings were just on their game, I guess. It was a riot, though ... seeing a "pond game" like that. Upper Deck seating, at the field, in those temperatures ... $1000 each!

Anyway, building on "the shot" ... well, kinda ...
