Here are some shots I took today of Barnegat Bay. It has a thin layer of ice from the last few days of 20 degree temptress.

3 and 4 are may favorites

The pictures seem a bit too dark and the shadows are just black and have a lack of detail. I think maybe you were a bit too aggressive on the curves?

Just keep it subtle lol... do things seem to bright to you maybe?

I tried to run it through photoshop myself but it seems ilke the pillars are still too black (especially on the bottom). Maybe it's just me, I'm not sure?

Frank, I don't know that the original isn't the best of the three posted. Others may disagree, but I would bump up the exposure a little because the sky is kinda dark, and maybe the blacks.. but only a hair. The only thing I think isn't quite right is the sky being dark.

Other than that the wood looks worn like it should, the ice and the water are the color that you want for this photo, and the shot is pretty well composed with the crop you used on the two doctored photos.

I think dr4gon nodded off, so I fiddled around with it. Can't go out with this cold anyway. I think I'm a bit pi**ed too.
