Cool Okay … END OF THE YEAR FINAL

Okay, Class… Final Exam to see what you have learned on DCRP SONY DSLR forum this year.

Do not copy off your fellow photographer's thread entry and shield your eyes from reading any other threads. This is being done on a “honor system”, so no cheating!

All questions pertain ONLY to the SONY DSLR systems … to heck with those other guys.
    1. What is the fastest, cheapest PRIME lens?
    2. What is the cheapest and “best” performing “all-in-one” lens available?
    3. What is the widest f/stop difference in “bracket shots” for version 4 software on the α700 (You should know this even if you own one of the other models. It’s a valid reason to upgrade.)?
    4. Directed at Canikon: How many fingers am I holding up? Supplemental question: Which one?
    5. What color does the upcoming AF 70-400mm f/4-5.6 G SSM telephoto lens come in?
    6. How many megapixels does the α900 shoot in “CROP” Mode?
    7. What is the widest aperture of a SONY zoom lens?
    8. Which lens is better? Choices: The SONY AF 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 DT or just about ANYTHING else?
    9. What SONY lens has the widest aperture of its class?
    10. Which SONY DSLR camera models come with "LiveView"?
    11. Who’s the leader of the club that’s made for you and me?

Hey, I want to give a deeply-felt "thank you" for your joint participation and support to our collective group … and say "Happy New Year!"

Boy oh boy, I thought I was done with finals.

    1. Minolta 50mm f/1.7 used, or Sony's 28mm f/2.8 new.
    2. I thought the Tammy 18-200mm was the cheapest, but IIRC the 18-250 seems to get better image quality, in addition to having a little more reach.
    3. I'll be honest and say I didn't know this one off the top of my head.
    4. The first thing that came to mind was a line from an Eminem song, but thats just bad taste, so I'll not answer.
    5. Silver. And I wouldn't have known this if I hadn't been looking at high end lenses yesterday for fun.
    6. Drrrr, without looking it up, I'm thinking it was near half... 10-12 or so.
    7. f/2.8 on one of those big white ones I want.
    8. I actually bought a disposable camera, took it apart, and duct taped the lens from that to my A300, my pictures were way sharper than with the kit lens. We need a nickname for that kit lens.
    9. I'm gonna guess the CZ135 at f/1.8.
    10. A300 and A350. The A900 has a quick preview function.
    11. Yeah, not an answer, but the Disney reference gave me a chance to point you guys to this. Not a Rick Roll.

It's been fun these past few months. I have mostly avoided forums for the past few years, but this has been a good group, so thanks for your help and humor. Looking forward to 2009, hopefully some upgrades for me, and some new Sony bodies to drool over.
