My friend gave me a new Tamron 2x converter. I put it on my Tamron 70-300. I had to use MF because the AF don't work with an aperture of 4.5. I shot this hand held.

Frank, that's very nice, especially using MF which you nailed.
Those small birds aren't still for very long, if at all.
Also credits to the A100 VF (and you) for being able to see well enough to focus at f9+.

I wish you'd remember to post EXIF data in POTD.

Just to be clear, the 2x tele knocks your Tammie's maximum aperture down two stops to f9 which is the reason it can't AF.
That's why teles are normally used on fast lenses.
A 2x tele on an f2.8 knocks it down to f5.6 but it can still AF.

Sorry I keep forgetting to add that. The VF was real dark. It wasn't easy trying to hold still either.

Here are two test shots with me TC and my 50mm. Both shots I used my home made bounce card. I shot one at F/5.6 and one at F/8.

First pic is clearly the best.
Did you try one without the tele?
