    This fawn was about 15 feet from the road. I had to use my flash because it was cloudy and under the trees. It never ran away even after 10 shots.

    That's a bummer, Frank.
    Deer have a Tapetal Fundus between the Retina and the Choroid at the back of the eye.
    It reflects light back through the retina to increase the stimulation of the retina.
    Unfortunately the reflection shows up white when light is shone into the Deer's eye.
    Humans don't have a Tapetal Fundus, and red-eye is caused by reflection off blood vessels at the back of the eye.
    Hence the Red-eye tool does not work on animals.

    Maybe you can clone in some falsies? But difficult, I think.

    That was a nice capture Frank. We have them wandering through our back yard. They are not frightened by the dogs anymore, but let me grab my camera and they are quick to show their "White Tails"
