Elisha, great flowers. Love the colors.

I just have this for the day. I've been meaning to photograph the Bradbury Building (think Blade Runner) for a long time. I was walking back to the office and decided to take a different route and voila, as I'm walking there it was. Good thing I brought the camera along.

On this one, to get the wide angle I wanted I had to resort to the Sigma 28-90mm Ritz close out lens. Some day I'll have better quality wide angles.

Elisha, what are those flowers, they look great.

Here's a bigger pic of that Bee you couldn't see.

It's a solitary bee, most likely Andrena Scotica. The vast majority of bees are solitary, living out their lives as single bees, provisioning single nest cells, rather than working with many other bees to raise huge numbers of offspring in shared nests.

Just my luck, I get a new camera and the weather turns crappy. Hopefully it will be a nice weekend.

Red face Around the house ...

    Hey, it's good luck ...

This is straight out of the TAMRON SP AF 14mm f/2.8 Aspherical lens, with nothing but a minor crop on the right. That lens captures a lot of territory.

The color is perhaps the most striking aspect of it ...

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

That lens appears quite capable, colour-wise

Still, that particular flower makes my eyes water a little, I would probably desaturate('unsaturate?') it just a bit. It could be this glossy screen though. Rrr, I think I may go into a black-white-and-greys period.

Edit. Millz- I clicked the 'all sizes' button (in the http://www.flickr.com/photos/39414777@N08/3618480504/ page) , then right-clicked the larger image and chose 'copy image address' . This might be usable in an [img] tag, as such : [ img]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3349/3618480504_7077e633a5_b.jpg[/img ] (without the spaces in the img tags) ->

(Millz picture obviously. Very nice, too And I see where you're coming from regarding flickr's vs photobucket's userfriendliness. It's a shame the same people who designed MySpace must have designed Photobucket)
