Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

I have been trying to get some bee in flower shots but I'm not having too much luck. It's awful hard to steady an 8.25", 2lb lens at 300mm. I guess I should be using the macro lens but I love the colors from the BBC.
    P.S. - ISO-800 sucks on this camera!

if you shoot RAW, just expose to the right. try +0.7 EV compensation and you will have better noise control.

Hmm, I find the BC awfully hard to steady at 210mm, especially as you're quite often crouched in an awkward angle when photographing insects(try green tiger beetles fighting and mating). The BBC at 300mm with quite mobile things like bees on long flowerstems targeted..eh, to me that's pretty well done

And the shallow dof zips back and forth like a neutrino. Only chance is to fire continuously while slowly turning the focus ring.

That would be Ritz or Wolf Camera, but I think those particular stores have been closed for a while, at least around here.
