Here is a Calipogon that was taken yesterday. There is a small spider on it, and on the edge you can see the legs of a second one on the bottom side.
The only pp is a little unsharp mask.

Nice color and cool dark border effect, Most Amish would perfer not to have the face clearly in a photo, some of the younger ones don't seem to mind though. If things dry out around here I may go and try and get some of the guys working with the horse drawn equipment.

Softball from Thursday night, I just really like this image. A great photo....no . local sports action shot......can't see her face, or her number to identify her so.......nope, even though web radio site loved it! We had home softball, baseball, and middle school track and field all at home on same night, I put up about a dozen shots of each on flickr.

    Reflections

I would love to know what you think of this one. Just a slight touch-up in PS in lower left corner to soften white reflection.

Went to a baby shower yesterday. Brought 3 lenses: 100mm, 50/1.4, and the 17-50/2.8. I only used the Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8. The flash was very handy and I don't know how I could have done it without a flash. Even with the very very high ceilings to bounce off of (+.7-1EV on the flash), I was still able to get enough soft lighting. Shot about 300 pictures and my flash lasted the entire night with probably AA battery to spare. One other thing I liked was having a wide angle. I didn't think I would value it that much, but I liked the 17mm shots that really captured the atmosphere well. I may have to reconsider a 10mm zoom for aps-c.

D Wessl, Awesome image, the swirl and blur of the colors is really neat, nice work.
Another endorsement for the Tamron 17-50! Nice use indoors, I need to get my flash ordered.
