I just came across stacking software last week...I used to love macro but it was always limited by dof...now the possibilities are wider..
i have been working out the bugs for about a week now...one thing that has been plaguing me has been motion blur but just under certain conditions...I finally found out what the problem was..the shutter was sending a harmonic wave through the camera... bellows mount..down the pole.. over the base.. up the specimen pole... down the arm... to the wire holding the specimen .......like wth..i changed wire and NO more vibe...i was getting really frustrated ..i would dial in with live view close up and it was great..take the picture and it was blurry...when i tapped on the camera it would jiggle the picture.. so i was thinking is it was sensor bounce or what....then i changed the angle on the wire for a dif view and it got better....so the light went off..ding
so here are new pics...even better(unretouched,,straight from camera to stacker and out)....BY GOLLY ..NO MORE BUGS FOR MY BUGS
Hi guys iam new to this site. here is my shot , comment please if my settings is right
Nice image Allan and welcome to the site. Settings are sensible for what you were trying to do. Note you could have used F8 and a shorter shutterspeed since you have nothing in the foreground but figured you used the smaller apperture to get the star pattern of the streetlights.

Great photos SONYNUT and some interesting software.
Its good you found your vibration problem as well. At work they are now mounting microscopes onto large granite blocks ( inspection surface plates ) which are then on foam rubber to help damp out any vibrations.
