From about 175 yards away. Thats as close as I would get considering her nest was very close to her.
Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 200 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: +0.3 EV
After I did some cropping.

Nice capture. I tried to get a few shots of the Eagles in Howell NJ but they were too far away.

And speaking of the 'nature' lens I have a very very nice clean copy of the Tokina 80-400 and it is a killer piece of 'old school' glass! Heavy a nice solid metal feel to it. Good colors but is does like the bright light of day! I used it for some long range soccer and football, once the sun started getting down the lens really shut down. I have NO zoom creep on mine at all, as a matter of fact I had to check with Don to be sure I didn't have a problem after 300mm you have to "put some more' to the ring to move it up. Make sure you get the ATX pro issue. and if you don't have much gear or don't have the distance covered with other glass there is I think it is a 80-200mm ATX pro also might be nice to have.

Nope....the old 28-135mm. the G was to long to use at the country market so i opted for the Minolta instead.
i actually have a pic of another orchid being sold at a different side of the market and the purple looks a little different....
