That's nice and sharp!
A good photograph is knowing where to stand.

Looks like Taxidermy, Don. Field Museum, perhaps?

Nah, Cabela's in Hoffman Estates, IL.
Good eye ... the subject is dead. It was a different kind of photography, for sure. Kind of like having the "TIME STOP" function. LOL
This one was even weirder ...
I have noted that the "animals" lack a natural-looking "moistness" about them. Also, the lack of respiration is a bit "stuffy."

It's the HDR treatment I think.

Here is one from the local zoo. It is a small zoo and all the animals are in fenced in areas and it is hard to get any good shots without shooting through a fence. The bear cage had a moat around it so there was no fence.

The fort worth zoo had a moat around the lions and tigers. The Toronto (Canada) zoo had nearly everything behind a cage/fence so it was quite difficult.
That's a nice shot, not over processed and composed well. (Maybe would've taken a hair off the top to make give it equal room on top and bottom).
Did you try and portrait oriented shots?

Side-by-side, to get detail

Here's the 0 EV shot

and the HDR

I was looking for more detail in the fur and the muzzle, which was a bit washed out by the light through the skylight
