I'm a learning amateur astonomer. I hardly know anything in the sky. Lately, I have been looking up and seeing the three get closer and just happened to hear that it will be the closest yesterday (Dec 1).

I shot it with the 70-200 f/2.8 @ 70mm f/8

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

I should also add mine were with the Tamron 70-200/2.8
At mostly 70mm and one at 200mm.
Don, was that from tonight? I'm lucky, it's pretty cloudy/hazy out tonight.

Nice shot Don. I never went out to check again last night because it was cloudy. I would cheat like I did and make jupiter and Venus bigger. Don you won't nead to wait 50 years with that. LOL
