on a side note i want a nice camera bag something of a sling or backpack nature could you guys point me in the right direction i want enough room for when i get more lenses and such.
Slingshot 200AW by Lowepro is a very nice bag (or the 100 if you want somethign smaller). The 200 AW sure can fit a lot though (even the longer 50-500 and 70-200 lenses).

    Congrats!

How much did you manage to get it for? Prices have gone up quite a bit. I hope sony comes out with a 50mm F/1.7

The 17-50 is definitely a must for indoor shots! IQ is superb!

That's a great price! Cheaper than what Sean and I paid. (Unless his was like $100 even or so, I forgot).

hmmm.... well for macro and portraits (headshots) the 90mm is good. for nearly everything else... the 17-50 is better.

    Maybe get a 17-50 plus a flash (F42AM)?
