Best price I could find on a new DSLR and lenses
-
SONY products appeal to me
-
I already had A-mount Minolta lenses on-hand (compatibility)
-
I appreciate “Image Stability” with EVERY lens I mount
-
The Forum convinced me it was the “right thing to do”
-
I actually compared all manufacturers and “that was all she wrote”
-
I particularly find the “SONY DSLR Forum” on the DCRP very useful and helpful
-
I’m a novice and I find the ALPHA camera simpler to use, than other brands.
-
I chose SONY to show the other manufacturers that they need to step up!
-
See my personal posting in this thread for additional or exceptional reasons …

Well, it certainly looks like in-the-body anti-shake is a big decision maker for the SONY. It's kind of a shame most people do not notice this aspect of camera design until it is far too late to change. They fall in love with Ashton Kucher, as his fumbles and falls through some poor schmuck's wedding or tosses his undies in the camera backpack. Oh, how "professional" that must look when he goes for his camera, later on.
Sorry ... the convenience of ALL THE TIME anti-shake is hard to ignore, unless you are shooting everything at better than 1/250th second. Personally, that's not me.
Anyway .. please participate if you have not. This is a multiple choice poll ... hit all the ones that count!

A Photographer Is Forever
Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

not sure if i would say that. he is multi-talented. he probably knows more than most of us!

When I think of Masters of Photography names that come to mind are Albert Maylays, Steve McCurry, Ansel Adams, Albert Hitchock, Franco Fontana, etc. I have just yet to see Mr. Kucher’s name appear in auctions for photography in the US or EU.

Hey this looks dangerous.......You go first!
If at first you don't succeed, Skydiving is not for you!

all i'm saying is that just cause he is famous does not mean he is brainless.

LOL…Even Bush!
Obama is gonna spread the WEALTH!
I am hoping for a bailout of the Photographic Industry.
No pun intended, but I think this reply really made me laugh with the Bush thing. The Financial Institution of the US is so messed up its not even funny.
Elect whom ever you wish but until, WE THE PEOPLE, put pressure on Congress, nothing will change!
