I'm trying to get a little more active in this forum, so I thought I'd give this sports thread a post, since I love sports and photographing sports is my main hobby.
This is a photo I took in 2008 at Saratoga race Track. The horse in the foreground, Ginger Punch, went on to win this race, the $400,000 Personal Ensign Handicap. Behind her is a horse named Lemon Drop Mom. Click for larger image.
The photo was taken around 5pm in August 2008. I took it using my handheld Canon SD850IS. I personally think it is one of my best photographs I have taken with a hand held point and shoot. Light was fading, and I only had 1 shot to get them as they came by. Hope thread readers enjoy it.
I JUST purchased my first DSLR, a Canon 40D, so hopefully better things are to come.
I like the way you brought attaention onto the horse with your focus.
