Funny you should say that about the billboard. The Army Core of Engineers came out and cut down five of them because the owner built them on land he did not own. They were up for twenty years before they found out. Just my luck that one had to stay.LOL

Frank if the billbnoard isn't and hasn't been used you could go to your local chamber of commerce, or the wetland preservation group etc. Make your claim that it needs to be gone to keep the scenic features of the land etc. that the shack needs to saty because it is "americanna" and part of your ongoing art project. Tell them you would love to do a photo essay on the removal. LOL

The billboard is in use. It was the other five along the road they had to cut down. I will try to get some shots of where they were. All that is left is the cut off pilings.

Talking In our collective mind's eye ...

    MIDNIGHT RAID!!!! YEAH!!!

On a cold, waterfront road ... the night quiet of the swamp is split by ... "Brrp" "Brrp" "Whhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" ... "TIMBER!" "Ker-Plop!" "Friggin' eye-sore!"

::: Silence fills the night, as a trunk is reclosed and a car speeds off into the night :::

    The next morning:

CSI Investigator: "Yep ... looks like Frank's handiwork. That purist! Guess they won't be using this billboard anymore."

Novice CSI guy: "Hey, wasn't he the guy who cleaned up the Broadwalk, in the City?"

CSI Investigator: "One in the same."

Novice CSI guy: "Cripes, if this keeps up, this place just might look good!"

Hey wait a minute wetland habitat, better call the feds in. primary background intel gathering, frank has lots of camera equipment, drives around in remote areas often. makes trips ina nd out of "the city" forensic exam of his computer it looks like Frank has been talking to guys in three other states, and out of the country. HMMMMMM we might be looking RICCO crimes here, and get ahold of someone from homeland security to figure out whats up with those maps and lines on them.

I think this might qualify a environmental anti-terrorism. Having those rotten signs pounded in, all over the greenery, sure sounds like a wasted view, if you ask me. Now, you can get all the advertising you want on your flippin' cell phone! All without having to move an inch.

Anyway, I am anxious to see how this turns out. It really will provide an new aspect to Frank's photography.
