Case for Canon SX10
Can anyone recommend a case for the new Canon SCX10? I'd like to have one that's fairly small, snug fit. The camera will be carried without filters, sun shades etc. Thanks.
You can get 10 recommendations from 10 people, but you should shop for a bag locally, I think. Look at the zipper location (if it has one) - will it scratch the camera as your remove it, etc.
I always get one just a little bigger than I think I need for extra battery, card, mini tripod etc.
I have a Quantaray bag from Ritz for the S3 IS, about the same size as the SX10. It is sort of like this.
This is the Canon bag that is twice the cost, and ugly :-)
Pentax K20D/K5/15/21/40/70/10-17/12-24, Sigma 17-70 2.8-4.5/150-500, Tamron 90 Macro/70-200 2.8, Canon SX20 IS/Elph 500HS
(formerly Pentax 50 1.4/50-200/55-300/K100D, Sigma 18-50 2.8/70-300 APO, Tamron 28-75, Viv 800, Tele-Tokina 800, Canon S3 IS, Samsung L210)
Good suggestion,.....I appreciate it. The Lowepro looks good but I think checking locally is the way to go.
Setter Dog, I also use a bag from Lowepro, fits my new SX10 perfect, it is model Rezo 110 AW
Thanks for narrowing my search. That looks like exactly what I want.

I take that back, i thought i'd check a little more into the size and the clips 100 bag is just way too small internally for the SX10. The outside of the case allows the inside to expand giving the illusion it's ok.
The Rezo 110 is much better and appears to have the dimensions needed for it.
Canon say the DCC-800 bag is the correct one for the SX1 and SX10 but i can't really find any main suppliers of this case and/or decent pics.
OK, i've checked out a bunch of the Lowepro bags that have the correct internal dimensions for the SX1/SX10 and found the following;
Apex 110 AW
5.8W X 3.7D X 5.3H in.
Nova Micro AW
4.9W X 3.5D X 5.9H in.
Rezo 110 AW
6W X 3.9D X 5.1H in.
I measured my SX10 and the W, D and H are 5, 4 and 3.75 inches (including extremities) - To fit in some bags you may need to alter the angle at which the camera sits.
The other alternative is the actual correct bag from Canon, it's new and most people aren't selling it, those that are seem to be using a stock photo of another bag from Canon. This is the cheapest place in the UK that i found selling it.
I believe this to be the correct picture of the bag;
Geniune Canon soft camera case.
Specially designed for the Canon Powershot SX10 IS and Canon Powershot SX1 IS.
Soft padded interior to protect your cameras LCD screen.
Belt loop on the back for ultra secure carrying.
Adjustable shoulder strap with comfort pad.
Mesh pocket on each side.
Front zipped pocket for spare batteries and memory cards.

I have a crumpler 3 million dollar home which nicely fits just the camera and uv attachment (over the lens) and also fits my canon 430ii external flash nicely on top. It holds in it zipper 2 or 3 sets off additional batteries and lens cloths etc.
On days when I want to carry more such as sunglasses or sunscreen, etc, I use my crumpler 4 million dollar home.
I love them both, and they don't look like a standard cameracase, which I think is a plus. The only minus of both, is they are not really sealed so I am not convinced they would be totally rainproof.
