Covered Bridge 1st Attempt at HDR

Hey this is my first time so be gentle. I took 4 pictures and then used HDR.

I did not do anything else in PS.

I would have liked to get the bridge in focus instead of the pump.

I guess I will have to try again. I was so worried about holding the camera still and using Manual mode.

    Let me know your thoughts
    Thank you

    Another One

Here is another try. I like that I can totally change the picture with the Slide of the mouse.

Let me know how they look.

hand held? looks nice. doesn't look too much like HDR though, but surely doesn't look bad (like mine)

I didn't have my tripod with me. That would have made it a lot easier. I got lucky taking the picture though. A group of about 12 people came to look at the bridge. I never would have gotten these shots if I got there a little later.

Kind of cool shots of bridge, nice for handheld. I really am brand new to learning about HDR, but I don't think thats it LOL! keep posting so I can build up the courage / skill to give it a go.

Post the original, because the image looks out of focus for some reason. I don't know if it is the HDR that is doing it or it is out of focus from the start. HDR images are tough to get right. I have been trying for a long time and cannot get it right. There are a few things that have to be done right from when you take the shot. Go to Photocamel.com there are a few good tutorials there that helped me with my last image. keep trying you will get it.

Try it again with just the 3 images the +2.0 -2.0 0.0. The original isn't that sharp and 5 images might be making it worst. I am by far no expert on HDR I am just telling you what I would try. Taking this shot hand held is also not helping. I have tried that several times. I even tried a new program that lets you manual align each image and still cannot get it right. The program is called Dynamic Photo HDR. Good luck

O.K. I don't know how or why or what to change LOL but I like the look of the reflections in the water they have a nice "solid" look to them, the smooth silky "flow" of the water is nice, not to overpowering. the color & texture of the metal I think looks nice, But those bricks and fall colors on the trees man that ain't right LOL! keep tweaking and working it though you are on the right track. Looks like a cool place to shoot lots of different elements, water wood metal stone trees colors etc.
