I will have to wait my TV just S#$t the bed. The color wheel and bulb went. They want over $800 to repair it. So I broke out the screwdriver and took it apart. The bulb is $100.00 and the color wheel is about a $125.00. If I had the parts I would have done the whole job in about an hour. I would have been real mad if I had them do it for $600.00 labor. I don't know how they get away with it.

Been that price for more than a month now don lol
There's probably going to be another $100 cut maybe before the end of the year? or something to precede the announcement/release of a new model(s).

Maybe time to start keeping a eye open for a clean A100 or A200 for a backup/bad weather/bad crowd camera. Like I don't have enought things to keep spending money on, but still.....

Sean ... to be honest ... I feel that it's just smarter to consider going to the A900 ... and forget the small stuff. The leaning and spirit of photography is to get back to full frame ... and leave APS-C to the kids ... if not to history.
The fact is that the A900 can do everything the A700 can do, they are closer related than the A200, A300, A350 are to the A700.
Just a thought ...

Maybe one step at a time, I don't even know what all my A700 can do yet, and who knows maybe there is a 750 800 or 850 on the way. I think a few more years of waiting and learning. but it sure is fun!!
