    Red face It's coming ...

Okay ... it is on its way back home.

    Attachment 44031

I received no word from Precision Camera to assist in further identifying the problem, so either they got it or ... we are in for a superior disappointment and customer service battle. Personally, after the first two tries ... forgive me if I am a little dubious.

I suppose it will show up by the end of the week. Here's to hoping ...

Well ... it took them a couple days to get it out of Connecticut, with that darn ice storm whacking the Ohio Valley and up to Maine. It finally left on the 29th ... so, early next week, I hope. That darn A700 has certainly gotten some down time, eh? Lazy ... grumble, grumble.

    @Sean
... I'm going to finish up the 70-300 test shoot with the A700, when it gets back, since there's no rush. I figure that will be a little more perceptive of any strange stuff, should there be any.

Speaking of the Ohio valley, LOL We were right on the line between the ice storm and the snow storm, so we got sevral inches of snow, then a few inches of ice then several inches of snow. oh and it's snowing lightly as we speak. ARGH!!
But anyway on Monday afternoon I Ordered my Lowepro aw 300 slingshot from online store in Colorado, I chose the free shipping that may take up to 10 days, well fedex showed up at about 2 p.M. on Thursday with the bag, they brought it to my work office becuase they couldn't get in my driveway with the fed ex van, my work is only 4 blocks away on the same road. Any way the point is free shipping delivered in 3 days in the middle of a nasty winter storm! Going to load the bag up and use it on Saturday at wrestling.

Let's face it, Sean ... having your stuff in their warehouse for six days does them NO GOOD. Git 'er done!

    Thumbs up She be back!

Yes, finally! The A700 has returned.

I have checked it out for the main issue and that looks resolved. Their accompanying paperwork says:

"TOP HOUSING AND ASSOCIATED ITEMS REPAIR

AUTO FOCUS TEST, CHECK, RECALIBRATION AND REALIGNMENT
SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD, TEST, CHECK AND COMPLETE RECALIBRATION
GENERAL TEST, CHECK, CLEAN AND REPAIR ALL FUNCTIONS AND SYSTEMS"

Time will tell, but it is looking good so far.

I have to tell you, Frank, after shooting through the A100 for the last month ... the A700 is really a noticeable improvement. The images appear sharper and more refined. It shoots smoother and I just like it. You really do have to separate yourself to appreciate it, not that I ever want to do that again. LOL

The real pain in all this is re-establishing all my Custom memory setpoints (M1, M2, & M3), Custom colorspace settings for AdobeRGB-low noise settings ... because they erased it back to factory settings.
