Finally adapted ...
For the longest time, I have been wanting to support the ring flashes I have on something larger than that darn ø55mm filter ring.
It is the most annoying thing to have a 180mm f/3.5 1:1 MACRO lens, and not be able to use the ring light (HVL-RLAM) or the common third-party ring flash, because SONY and whomever decided they wanted people at 180mm using their more expensive flash systems. Well, to that, as always ... I say "NO!"
I am not breaking out another $600 for something I already own!
So ... without further adieu ... here's the "adapted" TAMRON SP AF 180mm f/3.5 Di LD 1:1 MACRO and the SONY HVL-RLAM, securely married together with $40 worth of step-down rings.
A MACRO MAKIN' MACHINE!

Can you imagine the "one-gun" salute I am sporting to the manufacturers, now? If you won't make an adapter for your device, I will!

A Photographer Is Forever
Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Cool.
What's that hot shoe attachment? It must be part of the ring flash, not familiar with it. Sony needs a ring light.
I was thinking of making something like this:
