Tokina goes to soccer
O.K. so other making sure the lens worked this was the first workout for the Tokina 80-400mm Wit a 5 P.M. varsity star I thought all would be good. As I said in the other thread the lighting on the field was very bad, part of field in deep shadow that kept creeping, blinding sun right in the eyes of the fans, and as it got darker..........no lights for the field thats why varsity played first! Don what about there is something not right with the skin tones, a combination of camera settings and the light? something with the color "style" of the lens? Going to shoot boys soccer at high noon on Saturday
see how they look.

You have some great action shots there. Some of them are sharp. Did you edit any of these or are they right from the camera?

Yes, awesome shots! The last one is probably one of the best!
I was out at a soccer game last night under the lights with the tamron 70-300/4-5.6 and I guess I don't have to tell you how hard it was! lol.... It's just like near impossible when they're far away, it's dark, and the lens is so slow at F4 and beyond! Oh yeah and the 1600 ISO!

trimmed and cropped, and a fair amount of PP with the software that came with the camera, trying to clean up some of the noise, and there is "something" just not right with the skin tones, not sure if it was the light situation, the new lens my settings to compensate lol or a combination of all of the above. instead of spot metering I thought I would try wide area to see if it would "help" the camera in the bad light, it didn't heading out the door to shoot boys game under high bright sun, see how that goes!
