Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Good shot and good work on them Frank, Like oric1 said the softer shot above might be fun to play with a bit more maybe loose the building in the right background and that pole? then "soften or dull" everything but the plant? Like I got anyroom to talk I don't even have the program yet LOL! just a suggestion. Not saying it would make it "better" it is already a nice photo but it is fun to see what all can be done with some manipulation.
