    Yes Don that is the lens I used. I do need a faster lens I had to bump up the ISO to 800. I a have alot of images with motion blur. The lightning on the two girls on the bed was the best lightning in the place. They had studio lights set up. That is why those shots came out so good. (to me anyway)

    Frank, utility lenses are not designed as bright, but flexible.

    Believe me when I say, brightness has its own cost. The best lens for the buck is the 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.7. Sure, you can't zoom it ... but low light, no zoom can touch it. Probably find the f/1.7 for around $100, these days.

    Then, things jump. Heck, an 85mm f/1.4 ... easily $800. 135mm f/1.8 ... again, $1400!

    So, that low light 50mm looks pretty sweet. Just make darn sure you have your focus where you want it, because DOF at f/1.7 is equally as shallow.

    I was almost tempted to stop by my friends house and borrow his Canon not to miss so many shots.LOL The 50mm would have been good but I didn't want to get that up close and personal.LOL They would have gotten lipstick on the lens. LOL
