Question What dig camera (non slr) that has remote?

This is a tough question. Since, I'm always the one taking the photos, I never have any of myself. And when I use the self timer feature, I really can't time it well. And the focus always is on the wrong person or thing.

Do any non slr dig cameras out there have a remote feature, that you can order extra? So, I can hit the remote exactly when I want to??? I'm not looking to pay over 350 dollars, and I want a good digital camera. I'm not finding any, and most retailers don't know.

Maybe someone on the forum does know. Most appreciated.

Olympus SP-570 Ultra Zoom does have a remote release. Note that it's a wired one, not wireless. The camera costs more than your expected $350 but maybe you can find a good deal somewhere Fuji s100fs has a similar remote control but the price is double

Sony DSC-H50 has an IR remote supplied in the box.

Definitely Sony (although both cameras have menus that look like a maze without an exit...).

Ok, lost here. It has a remote, but what do you mean a 'maze'??? Is it hard to set up? Are there clear instructions, or is it hard to find the menu to use it???

    Thanks.

How would I find help, the store, or online???

Both cameras have a quite quirky and complex menu system. And H50 has one big disadvantage (at least for me) - such an advanced camera and it has no RAW capability...

An alternative to a remote trigger would be to use the self-timer plus burst mode. Then simply pick the best frame out of the burst, and delete the others. Tricky thing here is that flash may not be available with burst mode. And most cameras are limited to just 3 frames for the burst. Although a few do allow for bursts of more than 3 frames.
