They totally could have done a similar ad with a bunch of 450Ds too. Shame on Canon.

yeah they could have....they'd just need 20 of them to get anywhere close to the fps required...

I had to stop watching the D90 vid about 1/3 of the way through. It was trying too hard.
Ouch.™

I personally think the Chase Jarivs and friends video was excellent. I don't think Canon Marketing could come any where near as creative as that.

I liked the Jarvis video too, but I don't think it was more creative. It was just different, it appeals to a different audience. That's sorta my original point. Nikon is like the Apple of cameras where Canon is turning into the PC. In reality I don't think you can say one is better then the other so they attach coolness to their products to attract buyers or simply market themselves to a different demographic.

I hope Nikon isn't changing to Apple, or soon we'll see silver/white glossy SLR cameras. Then some time after that, Nikon Nano comes in colorful glossy SLR cameras :P. And months after, the Nikon Touch, with touchscreen LCD and sleek glossy black SLR casing :P.
Back to the topic, I really liked the video. The final results can be watched here: http://chsvimg.nikon.com/products/im...90/en/d-movie/

Personally I think Canon should attempt a Rube Goldberg device as in the Honda Cog advert (By far the best advert every created. If you haven't seen it google it and watch), with expensive lenses and bits of focus mechanisms and other camera internals eventually leading to one of their cameras taking a photo of a beautiful landscape. Maybe make it overkill and have that transferred wirelessly to a laptop and automatically printed off on one of their printers. Just to show off the range.
On a serious and slightly different note, TV adverts for cameras appear to be basically non-existent on the UK from what I've seen. Do you lot across the pond get them often?
