Sigh...
I'm starting to wonder what the point of signing an NDA is these days. Without fail, info starts to leak out days before an announcement, and I'm legally bound to keep my mouth shut!
Oh, and the rumors you've read this week are pretty much spot-on.

That does suck Jeff... I'm regularly stuck in a similar situation. The good news is that you are going to have the review up right away!

in sayign that jeff, the d3, d300 and d90 were the worst kept secrets. the high spec level of the d300 i think is what too people by surprise, it appears the d90 will also trump the initial rumor mill by adding video.
the onl real out of the blue dslr body i can think of in recent times was probably the d700 and the 50d.

Ha! Are you kidding? The D700 was the worst kept secret ever! I was told about it a month before it's release...no one (in the states at least) could keep their mouth shut about it...

what i mean by that is before the rumors started coming out i dont think anyone expected the d700 to come out this year. the d90, d3, d300 were anticipated well in advance, just a matter of WHEN. same as the 5dII.

Still any rumoured information is irrelevant to people like me who only believe information provided on this site posted by you...so that...
Can't wait to see the 50D review whenever you get a chance to do it....

NDAs bite. There's no way around it. The reality is that Internet leaks will always pop up and manufacturers need to recognize it and bring the NDA into the 21st century.
